Academics

Academics Curriculum

ALS offers education from Kindergarten through Secondary. Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Computer, Moral Science, Health, Environment, English and Nepali are the compulsory subjects being taught at ALS. The school develops well-designed academic programs and activities within the framework of the Ministry of Education, Nepal. English is the primary medium of instruction, however, students learn both English and Nepali to speak fluently and write in both languages. Learning how to be “precise, concise and succinct” are parts of writing. For honing students’ writing skill, the school brings out quarterly bulletin named COMPASS and annual magazine called CEDAR.

Home Assignments

Homework inculcates a habit of devoting time to study; it also makes students learn by doing. Teachers assign relevant, meaningful and challenging homework that helps students refresh with the virtual class or classroom-learning. Homework also makes students inculcate themselves a habit of working and learning independently.

Assignment Policies

Students are expected to submit their home assignments on time or on due date. Students, who don’t submit their home assignments on time, are deemed as:

  • Weak in studies/lack understanding
  • Teachers' Weakness
  • Parents' carelessness
  • Unfit in the class due to lack of remedial classes
  • Lack proper and effective guidelines
